Home Sweet Home
MIAMI,
FL - Ebony Pyramid Entertainment (EPE) announced this week
that the
Miami
Beach Resort and Spa will be the host hotel for its 8th Annual
Black Gay and Lesbian Pride Pre-Cruise event on October 4, 2007.
"Wow! It's hard to believe that we are returning to this great
facility. This property has it all - Class, Beauty, and the
beach! When Mark Ford, Sales Representative for
Luxury
Resorts and Hotels (parent company of Miami Beach Resort and
Spa) contacted us, I was pleased to close the deal with them.
How could we go wrong with this. It's like a piece of paradise
on the beach," said DaJuan Xavier, Executive Director of EPE.
In
October 2001, just one month after our county's largest mainland
attack of 911 (September 11, 2001), EPE found itself embarking on
its 3rd Annual Black Gay and Lesbian Caribbean Cruisin'. This
was the year that the then, Wyndham Miami Beach Resort and Spa
hosted EPE as the official Pre-Cruise hotel. This was a
significant event, not only because of its time, but because this
was the year that EPE marked itself as a major BLGBT national event.
The first year of the EPE cruise had an attendance of 32, followed
by 52 for the second year and then, 250 for the third year.
Since that point, EPE has been one of the nation's leading special
national events, other than Prides.
As the
host hotel, Miami Beach Resort and Spa will be the host location for
EPE's Pre-Cruise activities, including "Dream World" the primetime
event and production, with pajamas attire. This is the perfect
home for EPE with the spectacular Atlantic Ocean and its beaches at
your doorstep. You will be able to indulge in breathtaking
oceanfront views, luxurious accommodations, and
the
nearby world-class shopping and nightlife destinations of South
Beach. Discover a paradise by the sea - a soul-stirring Miami
Beach, Florida resort offering everything from indulgent and
rejuvenating spa services at the Edouard de Paris Salon & Spa to
stunning ocean views. Unwind in the restored, Baroque-style lobby -
which evokes the glory of Old Miami when Frank Sinatra headlined at
in th
Starlight Room. Cap off a relaxing day by the oceanfront
Olympic-size pool with a majestic sunset or as you stroll along
miles of powdery beach. Enjoy tropical cocktails and tantalizing
cuisine at the
Bistro & Lobby Lounge.
With
all of this grandness, Miami Beach Resort and Spa is a place for all
and welcomes all. "After spending time in the Miami Beach
Resort and Spa and with the activities laid out by EPE, your one day
in Miami will seem like a full weekend," said Lisa "Legendary"
Brown, Regional Operations Director of EPE. In other words,
you can't go wrong with the EPE Pre-Cruise activities and its host
hotel, Miami Beach Resort and Spa.
